What is market capitalisation?
The total value of a company in the stock market.

Market cap is the share price multiplied by the number of shares. It is a quick way to tell a very large company apart from a very small one. It says nothing on its own about whether the company is good.

For instanceA ₹10 lakh crore company is described as large cap; a ₹1,500 crore one as small cap.
