Ways of investing: the terms explained
The different things people mean when they say they invest. Holding for years, trading for weeks, buying funds, buying gold. These are genuinely different activities with different skills and different odds, and the words are often used interchangeably when they should not be.

Buying and selling on the same day.

Holding an investment for years so the business has time to grow.

Investing a fixed amount automatically every month.
Sovereign Gold Bond
A government bond whose value tracks the price of gold.

Holding an investment for a few days or weeks to catch one move.
