Getting started

What is tcs?

Tax collected upfront when you send money abroad, which you can claim back.

Explained in more detail

TCS stands for tax collected at source. It is not an extra tax. It is collected by your bank before the money leaves and is adjustable against your income tax when you file your return, so a refund is possible if you overpaid.

An example
