Company analysis
What is profit?
What a company keeps after paying all its costs.
Explained in more detail
Revenue is everything a company earns. Profit is what is left once salaries, materials, interest and tax are paid. Profit growing steadily over several years is usually a healthier sign than one very good year.
An example
For instance₹100 crore earned with ₹85 crore of costs leaves ₹15 crore of profit.
