What is aum?
The total amount of money a fund is managing.

AUM stands for assets under management. A larger fund often charges a lower percentage fee, because SEBI caps fees on a sliding scale as the fund grows. Very large size can make it harder for a fund to trade smaller companies.

For instanceA fund with ₹50,000 crore of AUM faces a tighter fee cap than one with ₹400 crore.
